Why is the cancer and suicide rate so high in the DC Metro area?

What is it about this area that breeds the worst in people?

I am not sure that the rate is actually particularly high. I suspect that you have incorrect info here. It is no higher than any metropolitan area.

I think this has everything to do with population, and car emissions.

Any large city will have greater numbers related to any topic, due to the actual amount of people living in a built up area, I am sure if you searched the Internet, DC would come out on top for drug use, sex offenders, and so on.

It's scummy. Felt like killing myself when I was there.

DC statistics are always weird. Since DC is only a downtown, they are always going to be off.

BTW, it's a great area with fantastic people.
