Prices of items at Sakura Matsuri in DC?

I have a question about the Sakura Matsuri in DC. I have wanted to go for many years however every year my parents will come up with a reason why we cannot go at the last minute. I have turned 19 last year and with my new boyfriend we have made certain that this will be the year that we get to go! Since we have never been before I was wondering if anyone who knows about the matsuri could help me. I guess this is more of an opinionated question but would you say that the price of food and for Japanese products are reasonable there or are they overly priced? Thank you!

Since so many types of food are available at matsuri, you will have a range of price options---same with the craft and art items that are sold.

The only drawback I can think of in regards to your parents, if they are older, are the crowds, but it's wonderful.

I've never been, but I've yet to attend any festival-ish thing in DC where the prices were "reasonable", its just a matter of how much you are willing to spend to enjoy the day
