Connecting flights in Washington DC Airport? |
HI Its Washington DC (IAD) AIRPORT At Dulles you will be doing a bit of a jog, but depending on what terminal you are coming into/out of you should be okay. If you are connecting to the same airline, when you leave the plane go to the gate counter and ask them to call the gate agent at the NEW gates counter and let them know someone from a connecting flight is on their way, esp. if you have to change to a different terminal and go thru security again. I'm a flight attendant: There are three airports in DC. The Washington National Airport (DCA) is probably the easiest to get around. But just to let you know, don't ever have a 30 minute connection! Always give yourself about an hour in between flights because there are so many things that could happen. Good luck on making that flight.... IAD is Dulles airport, which is out in the Virginia suburbs. You won't have enough time to see much of anything. If you were flying into Reagan National (DCA), then you might have a chance to see something, but in half an hour, that's just not enough time. Dulles is a pretty big airport, though, so you should be able to keep yourself occupied. |
