Is it too soon to apply for a job? I'll be moving to the DC area in June.?

I'll be looking at PR firms, most likely.

It's never to soon to apply for a job.
With the elections coming up this year there are plenty of opportunities around the DC area.
If you are interested in a government job you need to apply as early as possible because it can take up to 6 months or more for the paper work to wind it's way through the system.

no now

Get those brag sheets out NOW. Work every contact you have.

it sepends u can tell them to keep u on file and look u up if they need help around the time of when u will be there :)

no. time will fly by fast. start asap.

I'd say do it now, and figure that if that company has a branch were you currently live, you can get a heads up so when you're moving there's less stress.

Does it hurt to have a few extra dollars

Wait until after the elections. Then there will be more to
choose from, and maybe, you can find a new job in that
"Big White House." <}:-})

Apply early and apply often. I would get resumes out now with good cover letters. It shows that you are motivated and that you are planning ahead. This looks very good to a perspective employer. I would also send out a second batch of resumes in April. Most employers will keep the resumes on file for about 6 months. Some may not contact you now, but when they get another resume closer to your move date, it will show follow up and a true desire to work for that company.

Well my dad owns a company in DC and I know lots of places that are looking for employees and I would tell you them if in your question details you were a little more specific on what you like or would like to do.

The sooner, the better & if you work in PR, that's great! There will be a lot of traffic based on elections! Good luck & welcome to DC!
