Washington DC - Philadelphia tourist advice?

I'll be visiting the area in about 2 weeks! What should I NEED to bring along? Hats? Gloves? Windbreakers? And will I need waterproof hiking boots? Does it rain everyday? Snow? Please give me some advice!

Thx for your help.

You won't need waterproof hiking boots if your just going into the city. Its been anywhere from 30-50 degrees here in D.C. I would bring pants and sweaters and a coat. You might want to bring a lighter jacket too, it does not rain that often, though now i say that it will rain everyday haha, probally once or twice a week it rains, if that. It may snow, but it hasn't been much in the 4 years ive been in D.C.

Weather here changes CONSTANTLY

That being said, we don't usually get too much snow, and you probably won't need waterproof hiking boots....go with layer-ables and a packable rain jacket and you should be fine
