Nelson BC (Roxanne)? |
was that bar in the Steve Martin movie ROXANNE a real bar, and is the town that great looking? Nelson is a small town in the kootenays. I've been there and its a pretty good town. All the basic conveniences you would probably need can be found there. Nelson BC is a nice little town in the kootenay region in BC see hellobc they will send you free info great movie, I love the part where he bets the guy in the bar about jokes for his nose!! Steve Martin is one of my faves to this day! |

theres a LOTTA commercials here in greater Van advertising ... Vancouver isn't listed on the schedule yet. I don't know if that means there is no chance of them coming, or if it can be added in later. There is room in the schedule to add in a Vanco... I'm not sure if this would help much. But I live in Burnaby, an area in greater Vancouver. There's this commercial I saw on TV advertising a website called ... Oh, you've GOT to visit Tenth Ave. church, on the corner of Ontario St. and W. 10th Ave. (off Broadway: www.tenth.ca). The pastors are great. Another is Granville Chapel (Granville St. and W... I haven't been as far north on Vancouver Island as Comox, but the whole island is beautiful (except Nanaimo, but the area around Nanaimo is nice). The drive up island from Victoria is amazing... There is only one I can think of. Commodore Lanes & Billiards on Granville St. ...Whistler is notoriously expensive to live/rent and very short of housing. Hopefully you graduate after 2010 Olympics. Then all the Athletes village will be available to convert to employee housin... baby sitting, shovling snow, ummm raking leaves in the fall, news papper delivery route ... |
