Is it possible to pay a fee to cancel the 6 month visa ban ?

I have visa for 3 years but I want to join another company. I got very good offer from the new company. My current sponsor not giving NOC to me and said he will cancel my visa sponsorship. My friends said I can not join the new company until the 6 months ban. But some told that if I pay Dhs. 5000 as fine, no need to wait for 6 months. Is that true?. Give me details on visa ban and ways to bypass the ban. I am currently working in Ajman.

You did not mention for how long you work for your present sponsor and what kind of contract you have.

a) incase you do not fullfil your contract you will receive a ban regardless and it can not be waived.

b) you have an unlimited contract but want to leave before being with your sponsor for one whole year. In this case you have to pay a Dhs 500 fee for every month remaining to complete the mandatory one-year period.

The charges for changing the sponsor depend on your job and on the categories of the companies.

Charges: Changing sponsor

- PhD or MA holder moves to a company in category A: Dh1,500; category B: Dh2,500; category C: Dh3,500.

- BA holder or equivalent moves to a company in category A: Dh3,000; category B: Dh3,500; category C: Dh4,000.

- All others moving to a company in category A: Dh5,000; category B: Dh5,500; category C: Dh6,000.

These charges have to be paid by the new sponsor and the company's PRO will take care of it.

I would like to add that the Ministry of Labour usually asks the sponsor about an NOC letter regardless as to how long the employee has worked for the company.

Take care and good luck!

Edit: Immigration has nothing to do with the 6 months ban received after cancellation of a visa. This ban is imposed by the Labour Department automatically even without a request of the sponsor. You will receive a ban from Immigration when you breached the law.

Only immigration can answer this in a way that is sure NOT to get you arrested.

Please contact the Immigration department in Ajman along with the offer letter from your employer. Normally there has to be a gap of six months between two employment, i,e, leaving one and joining other.

yes its possible but only after one year, if you didnt pass the one year time then you will get a ban for 6 month automatically but if you've been working with them for more than one year then you can pay money instead of the ban.
