Can a person from India visiting Dubai (UAE) with work permit open a bank account in Dubai ?

Hi ,

I am visiting Dubai from India for 2 months with work permit . Looking for some option to keep the money I need to carry in a safe place . I want to have easy access as well whenever I need it . Can I open a bank account in Dubai ? Is it permissible with work permit for Indians ? Is there any RBI rule or UAE govt policy / rule banning us from doing that ?

Absolutely !!
You have a work permit, that means you can work and get paid.
So where would you deposit your pay cheque?

I don't see why not, but it might be a good idea to contact the UAE consulate to confirm this.

Some countries do not allow you to take money out of the country if you have over a certain amount so it would be wise to check on this too.
