Do i need a visa from jamaica to go to dubai?

hi,i'm from jamaica and i was just wondering if i need a visa.

You do need a sponsor which will be a hotel or your tour operator. In case you want to visit friends living in the UAE who hold a valid recidence visa, they have to apply for your visa at the Immigration Department.

Btw: some hotels offer a visa for free if you book online.

edit: I do not know what the other answeres got in mind, but if you check out the link giving by the first answerer Jamaika is not mentioned on the list of whom can obtain a visa up on arrival.
