Is it safe for Americans to travel to the United Arab Emirites?

I've seen the film, "The Kingdom". Yes, that's Saudi Arabia. Close enough. No thank!

Sorry I spelled it wrong---I'm American. I don't doubt its a great country, but, why is there discrimination there? Especially women? Or foreigners? Is it a free country? Yeah, there's less crime than U.S...but your neighbors don't like the Infidel. FACT.

I would say no, it is just too unstable, their human rights are questionable, not to mention the lack of freedom of speech. One last thing it is "Emirates"

Dubai is a really popular tourist spot for westerners. Its perfectly safe, as I have heard of no anti-american violence happening there. Though they may be steamed about the ports deal!

The UAE is one of the safest countries on earth especially compared to the USA. In the UAE you leave your purse sitting on the table while getting something to eat. We do not have a drug problem, no shooting at schools and no woman gets raped or robbed because she's out there by herself.

If you think that there are terrorists hiding in the UAE or that the Government of the UAE is supporting terrorism, you are deadly wrong.

It was YOUR president who came over here just a week ago and praised the UAE, their development, peace etc. He came over here with his 200 hundred dogs, had to rent a whole hotel for himself and his staff, asked to have streets blocked etc. etc. All for his security. Also when this was sensless, well guess you do not know anything about Arab hostility.
If YOUR President would not be such a terrorist, all that would not have been necessary. Is the UAE Army involved in any war or is it the USA?

Btw: Judging a country by a movie must be an American thing. Shall I get you a list of American movies where countless people died in? Getting kidnapped? Getting tortoured?

Do us all a favour and please stay where you are. And: it's the Emirates and not Emirites.

UAE is very safe. It is safer than NYC & Chicago.
