How good is International City of Dubai?

I have been checking few real estate websites. It seems that the apartment rents in International City is cheaper than other places in Dubai.

I would like to know more details about this place to stay for an indian. How far is this place from Dubai internet city and sharjah border? How is the public transport?

As many details you can share with me will be very beneficial for me.

Will be waiting for your replies.

Thanks in advance.

Hey dude, apartments are a little bit cheaper than main Dubai. It used to be very quiet when i moved here 2 years ago, but now things have surely picked up. The only problem with the area is the nasty odour from the nearby sewage treatment plant. It can be pretty unbearable at times. I can't smell it any more though, probably i am used to it by now :)

International City is about 35 kms from Dubai Internet City and is about 30 to 35 mts drive by car (if there are no traffic pile ups on the way). The sharjah border is pretty close as it falls on th Emirates Road.

The only public transport available is Dubai Municipality Bus Service, and i don't think it is very frequent. Any way, all the best to you!

as u said international city is decent in the rent.i don't know about being an Indian but, you can go there and see for yourself how suitable is it for you.
its only 20min drive to Internet city and sharjah.its exactly 1/2 way between both.
about the transport ,there are no buses go there only taxis and they are expensive in Dubai.
the transport is only good within the city of Dubai only- and even then it will add almost and additional hour to ur trip- each way
