One very reliable way is by wire transfer from the bank.

The person in the UAE arranges the wire transfer with their bank, giving them your bank details. And the money is transferred into your account within 24 hours.

This isn't cheap however. Most of the time there is a $20-40 charge for initiating a wire transfer, and a $10-15 charge to receive wire transfer funds. So this can be a good way to transfer larger amounts of money, but isn't feasible for smaller amounts.

Just use Western Union. The beneficiary in the US can go and pick up his/her money aroung 10 min. after you sent it off.

After the money transfer you will receive a transfer number. Call and let the receiver know this number and he/she needs to have proper ID when picking up the money.

Charges are related to the amount sent. Otherwise do it like the first answerer said, but that is very time consuming until the beneficiary will have the credit entry on his/her account and it is also common in the US, that the beneficiary pays fees for a credit entry from a foreign country. Means, he/she will not get the whole amount.
If you hold a Dhs account and the beneficiay an USD account it will at least take value two days minimum until the ben will receive the money. A money transfer even in Dubai or Abu Dhabi from one bank to another is not done in within one day as long as it is not the same bank.

Money transfers through a bank will only take one day, if sender and receiver have the same kind of accounts. Means both have a Dhs or USD account. Otherwise the payment has to go through foreign exchange and a and that takes 2 working days. Payment made to a foreign country have to go to a correspondent bank in ben's country and that takes time.
