Why Dubai Declares "National Holiday" For Bush Visit? |
Is it so it reduce traffic, so bush can go around the city without see the ugly side of the traffic of the city? Do Dubai people pleased that they don't had to go to work because Bush a foreign president visit to their city? http://cliffschecter.bravenewfilms.org/b... The government declared Monday a national holiday and shut down many main roads and bridges, due to security reasons and threat to President from Iran. there are very few ugly sides to dubai this is usually done for protection purposes That's the difference between a monarchy and a democratic republic. Dubai is the utmost exquisitly beatuiful man built city yet to date and still under construction it is simply the american Dream unfortunatley built in the arab world. They made it a national holiday to prevent pepole from sticking around and having a traficc jammed and Because they do not want to see pepole around that visit and to avoid any unplaisant accident from pepole who do not like Bush and his visit. Since when american do like the arabs and vice versa?????????? Simply for protection and transit. Dubai government wants nothing to happen bad, but the result was really pathetic. People suffered a lot. Practical purposes. Traffic is already terrible in Dubai and security should be tight! There are only 3 roads that leads to Jebel Ali and further. Al Kahial Road and Sheik Sayed Roads are closed. What do you think we will do? Grab a camel and start walking in the desert going to the office? Come on! It is so practical.... no need to think further! Tina, your comment I found very offensive. When George W Bush visited Abu Dhabi, we didn't get any holiday. And just because some Arabs do not like George W Bush, does not mean that Arabs do not like Americans. And vice versa. I know MANY people, of all ethnicities who do not like him at all. for security issues .. and yes to reduce traffic jams when he came .. although this never happened !! |
