Do you think Dubai is overrun with construction and development?

Personally, I think all this fancy, high-tech architecture in Dubai is kinda trampling on the city's ancient history and Islamic architecture. But also, I do feel that Dubai will look nice when the city is "complete". What do you think?

As a national myself, I believe that this load of construction is getting me a headache and frustration and I am eager to see the completed (meaning around 60%) of the expected 2020 Dubai..

I'm not even sure why I should care, or especially interfere in someone else's business.

I like it, I think Dubai is showing where modern cities are headed. I'm there every 5-6 weeks and its my fav.city (not including NYC)

A friend of mine lives in a tent by his house, has been doing it for 12 years, so has his father, somtimes progress is too fast
no need for all this

The aim is to make Dubai stand proud among the top 10 cities of the world, so you have to put up with it.

never been there

I think alot of foreigners are investing and looking for the quick buck and when that happens, the construction here and now is neglecting the long-run. Don't get me wrong it's a nice city, I only have a problem with its foundations, if you don't know the road to Seattle and you live in Miami, you won't need a map to get there but if you don't know how to get somewhere in Dubai, good luck.

sometimes yes because it affects our daily life as we use the road to some where or stay near-by a building under-construction ..

but i still hate when people specially expats complain about it !! if you ppl don't like it ok then leave !! you don't have to stay ..
