Dubai shopping?

Hello i am going to dubai in june for 4 days , I like to buy a mobile and laptop from there .Any good shops names for cheap mobiles and laptops, that are good and i can trust
THANKS

Okay, on Passport Road in Abu Dhabi (it's about 45-1hr drive away from Dubai) there are SO many mobile shops, and each one is cheaper than the next!

If you can't visit Abu Dhabi, then check Carrefour.. I know there will be many mobiles in the malls (Emirates Mall, Dubai Mall, etc.) but they will typically have set prices,...

In the malls, there are always those little kiosks & people sell jewlerry and such, but people sell mobile phones too! I live in Abu Dhabi, and on the ground floor where Carrefour is there are a lot of kiosks and there is a few that sell mobile phones, along with Carrefour.

The cheapest phone I saw in Carrefour was 138 DHS, but it wasn't very high quality obviously. If it helps any, I bought a Moto RIZR z3 in Carrefour for 650 DHS, and it has a music player and a good camera. Phones can go up to 2000 DHS, unless you want something really fancy.

As for laptops, Carrefour also sells laptops.. you can also find laptops in Costless, Radio Shak, & any electronic store: they are all over the place. Laptops range anywhere between 1000-4000 DHS, with brand such as Dell, etc.

Happy hunting! & I suggest that you don't buy the first laptop/mobile you see in a store, you should hunt around a bit because you will probably be able to find the same thing elsewhere, that is cheaper!

If you want to compare currencies, type in "currency calculator", and you can compare your currency to the UAE Dirham.

:) Enjoy your visit to the UAE~

The best place for both items in really good bargain prices is either in Carrefour city Center or Carrefour Shindagha.

Those places really offer the cheapest price in Dubai.

there is a special street for electronics .get what you need from there .ask about that street in particular.
dont buy from big stores that would take advantage of you.

Carrefour is really the cheapest place to purchase anything electronics or other items.

Their prices are set and no more bargaining. That's guaranteed as the lowest. They also have a scheme called "deal of the day" cheap as well.

They are cheaper by about 10% to 12% compared to other stores your will find in the market.

Cheaper than Sharaf DG which is the biggest electonic shop in Dubai !
