Does anyone know about how much the average cab fare is in Turks & Caicos?

In the Turks there really is no 'going' rate, they basically will make it up as they go.. so be prepared.. I know it sounds crappy, but that is just how it is. If you are staying at any of the resort they will usually pick you up from the airport. If you are going to be there for any length of time, rent a car... Scooter Bobs is a great place to get a cheap little island car to drive around in, they may not look great but they are perfect for there. I would say that minimum you are looking at to get to any of the resorts in a cab, is about $20 US...I HIGHLY recommend working out the cost of getting you to your desitation BEFORE you get in the cab.. make sure you fully understand what they tell you too... not a good idea to get to your resort and then find out how much :) hope that helps....

Taxis can be found on all of the islands, and there are always plenty of taxis to be found outside the airport. The going rate is about US $2 per mile traveled, though it is always a good idea to verify the fee with the driver beforehand. Cabs can also be ordered in advance to take you on day-long sightseeing trips
