* the reason y i'm asking this is becuz i've heard bad and good reviews

See below

The Turks and Caicos Islands and Jamaica are different islands all together. The Beaches resorts in Jamaica are definitely top of the line I mean AWESOME...Turks and Caicos now I wouldn't be able to tell u about. Big up all yaadie unu L-A-R-G-E...Nuh seh nutten

There is no such place as 'Beaches Turks & Caicos in jamaica'. Turks & Caicos is a different Caribbean island from Jamaica. I have heard that Turks and Caicos islands are beautiful but very pricey (never went there). However, I have gone to Jamaica eight times in the past seven years and each time I go, Jamaica becomes part of me.

Jamaica is a really beautiful tropical island with nice people and good island food! Of course there are poverty areas as you travel around but the people in those areas are really friendly and cool. In the market areas and shopping areas there are lots of vendors trying to sell you something. Sometimes they are a bit pushy, but overall they mean no harm, they are just trying to make a living. You can bargain with them and get your souvenirs at a remarkably good price.

As far as the bad reviews you hear, I say go there with an open mind and respect for Jamaica and its people and you would have a great time. Many people usually stereotype Jamaica as a marijuana (ganga) growing country and all Jamaicans are ganga smokers. This is a BIG LIE!! Most Jamaicans are decent folks and does not partake in the 'ganga' stuff. While ganga is discreetely available it is illegal and you can be jailed for posession or for dealing. The stereotype gives the impression that Jamaica and Jamaicans are lawless and reckless. That's a LIE! I have been going there every year since 2000 with my family and no one bothers us or force us to partake in anything illegal.

We always have a great family vacation in Jamaica. Can't wait to go back in 2007!

Beaches resort is overrated! Go to FDR Pebbles in trelawny, Holiday Inn in Montego Bay or my favorite place Point Village resort in Negril. Negril is the most beautiful spot on the island with picturesque sunsets. If I was a tropical fruit I would have wanted to be grown in Jamaica just so that I can absorb all the lush island atmosphere!

Hi there LeXi, I like reading your comments because you are true to the vibes in ah yaad....Big Up gyal!

Jamaica IRIE mon! De food, de peeple, de sceneries...cha man all dat is jus large nuh! Big up all me friends ah yaad and all dem haad wukkin staff pan de resorts. Puuuuulllll uuuuuuupppp!

Everywhere you go the rooms will be clean even if its Jah B's in Negril, Jamaica. You do not have to worry about that. Beaches resorts are family orientated and relaxing. So all u need to think about is if you want to visit the one in Turks and Caicos or the one in Jamaica. Take it from me, Jamaica is MUCH better.
