To what degree is the Ban of H陌jab carried out in Tunisia?

As far as I know it cant be worn in government offices(Am I right?)
when can a woman wear it and when cant they wear it?

If a women wears it on the street is she treated any differently than a women who doesnt wear it?
Please enlighten me on the topic, 10 points will be rewarded :)

The Tunisian government had banned the Hijab for government workers working in a government building.

I go to an aerobics class with a women (she's 19) who wears hijab to university and she said that while they preferred the women not to wear the hijab, they did not require them to take it off.

In theory, women who wear the hijab and women who do not are treated the same. From m personal observations, though, this is not the case. Women who wear the hijab are generally treated with more respect and with greater credibility. There are many assumptions that can be made for the reason why this is, but I believe (in my opinion) that it is because the women who wear the hijab have an immediate outward respect for themselves. I in no way mean to speak bad about women who do not wear the hijab (I don't even wear a hijab), but this is just my observation.

Tunisia is a free country and the women are allowed to chose for themselves whether or not they want to wear the hijab or not. No one looks down on them whether they choose to wear it or not. There are about an equal number of women who wear it as there are who don't.

For women who do choose to wear a hijab, they wear it whenever they are outside the home, or in the presence of men that are lawful for them to marry (male cousins, neighbors, friends, etc). Only when they are in at home, in the presence of other women, in the presence of immediate family and those males that are not lawful for them to marry (father, brother, in-laws, etc) do they take the hijab off.

****EDIT: *mynonA<- is right; The ban on the hijab was rescinded on 11 October 2007 after being deemed unconstitutional by the Administrative Court of Tunis.****

If I can be of any more help or assistance, please feel free to contact me.
