If you were promised air conditioning, then the travel company you booked with has an obligation to fulfill that. If the choose not to, then you can ask for a full refund with no penalties.

If however you were not promised air conditioning then you have to read the terms of your contract to see what legal rights you have.

If you update your question to give the name of the hotel you are planing to stay at I could call them for you and verify whether or not there is air conditioning.

I e-mailed you. Hope you got it and all the information you need. Report It

don't go it's the smelliest place on the planet and every other person seems to be a begger

Use this as an opportunity to select a completely different holiday - somewhere where you can get what you want. Tell the holiday firm that the changes they notified you off make your holiday unsuitable to you and you want it changed.

Hey,

I'm just back from two weeks in Tunisia. You will need air conditioning!

If you were already led to believe there would be A/C, and it is now being denied, the tour operator and hotel should stand by what was originally promised.

By the way, I totally disagree with everyone who says that Tunisia is a horrible place and advise you not to leave the hotel. It's a beautiful country with very friendly people. I've seen more beggars in the UK. Some people, shop-keepers, etc. can be a bit grabby but just tell them "Imshi" (go away) and they'll be too stunned to respond. Or just say No and mean it.

All the best!

depends when you are going they do this in Tunisia and Egypt when its there winter and if you read the brochure on look on the first choice website it normally tells you that if you book a certain time the air con will not be on.

We were looking at going to Tunisia but what people told me about it put me alot does not sound that especially for women you get alot of hassle, it cheap to go there but there alot nicer places to go. We are going to the Maldives now on Thursday for 2 weeks cant wait.

Dont accept what your being told about the country is beautiful, some wonderful Roman remains (El Jem) and its not too commercialized. Have a read of a Lonely Planet guidebook for some unbiased assessment
