Divorce Lawyer Needed?

I am looking for a divorce lawyer who is versed in international (Tunisian) law. I have tried to contact the US Embassy in Tunisia to help me, but they still haven't provided me with any names, and it has been over two weeks. I have one child from a previous marriage, whom my husband has adopted, and we have one child together. I do not work, therefor I have no source of income, but my husband has a good paying job. Can someone PLEASE help me?!

I am an American citizen, he is Tunisian. I've tried searching the web for lawyers in Tunisia, but no luck. This is really important, please help!

I've had a friend in your situation living in Morocco... so I understand the importance of how to go about this. Generally, it will very much depend on the husband how hard you have to fight for the kids as there are different nationalities/locations involved here (I'm assuming you plan you returning to the States and taking the kids)..

The bad news: It's not going to be easy. (How old are the kids?)
The good news: Tunisia is known to be the most "modern" of muslim countries and this should come in handy.

Some general info on Tunisian law:

Judicial Divorce:
available (after reconciliation efforts) at request of either party; in issuing decree of divorce, Court shall also assess maintenance, custody, housing and visiting rights

Post-Divorce Maintenance/Financial Arrangements:
husband obliged to provide maintenance during ?idda or, if there is an infant, until the child is weaned; if divorce was husband's will, judge may determine what financial compensation is due to wife (or vice versa if divorce was at request of wife)

Child Custody and Guardianship:
divorced wife has right of custody over boys until age of 7 and girls until age of 9, after which custody reverts to father if he requests it, unless judge considers child(ren)?s mother better suited to maintain custody.
