I live in Tunisia and speak fluent Arabic.

Tunisian Arabic is different from literal Arabic. Here are a few words to get you started (pronounced how they look. The 3 is used to accentuate the letter after it and make it longer sounding.):

Feinel bhar = Where's the beach?
Fein baiti = Where's my room?
Asala'ama = Hello
Bisla'ama = Good-bye
Birabbee minfadlik = Please
Shukran = Thank you
Na'am (Aye)= Yes
La = No
Ashnooa ahwalik? = How are you?

3uTsha:na = Thirsty

Tunisians are fluent in French and use a lot of French in their dialect, so if you are fluent in French, or know some French words, you'll fare even better as they have replaced some Arabic words with their French counterpart.
