Mosquitoes in tunisia? |
What months are best to go to avoid the mosquitoes or is it bad all year round? Thanks Mosquitoes are generally the most active in the summer months between late April - early October. me and my partner went last year in june and we had no problem (probably cos it may have been too hot for them) i would recommend going to hammamet and Hotel Bel Air is fantastic! not only for the very friendly staff, lovely food and lovely sized swimming pool but the entertainment is fantastic! you will laugh your head off every night, they also have games round the pool in the afternoon. if you do decide to go there i have one warning: when you decide to go out souvenier go out the main door down that road and turn RIGHT do not go left or you will be lynched!!! its about a 15 min walk and you come to a little bar on the right hand side and the shop there is air conditioned and you can walk around at your leisure and wont be pestered if you need anything else let me know My guess is that it mostly depends on what part of the country you're going to. I've been there three times so far (summer, winter) and i haven't encountered any mosquito's at all. I was staying in Souse and even though we nearly explored the whole country i haven't seen any of them critters. Ive been in April and Sept and didnt have any problems but in Sept there was a jelly fish problem. |
