can u recommend this hotel or any surrounding shops etc...(for baby things eg. nappies food?) The Houda Golf & Beach is located in Monastir (where I live). While there is a shop there, they probably won't sell any specialized things. For baby food, diapers and food, you can go to either Monoprix or Magasin General.

Both of those are general stores that sell food, clothes, toiletries, make-up, and other extras. There are differences between what they sell, so it might be worth it to you to go check them both out. They are close together (about a 3 minutes walk away from each other).
For specialty things, such as diabetic supplies, medications, and other special baby needs, you can visit any pharmacie. Monastir has pharmacies all over the place, so you won't have to look hard to find one. Our medications are from France, and the inside information leaflets are in French. I advise that if you are uncomfortable with this, that you bring any medications that you would need from home.
The prices you will pay for these items will depend on which brand you buy, and from where you buy it. There are also small little stores that sell diapers cheaper than the bigger stores, but the owners generally only speak French or Arabic.
I am American and have a very good doctor that speaks fluent English (he also is the doctor on call for most of the hotels in Monastir). If you should ever need his phone number, I'd be more than happy to give that to you.

Skanes is a part of Monastir (and that's where I live). This is a very nice quiet community with lovely beaches, good restaurants, and plenty of caf茅s. For nightlife and shopping, Sousse is just a short drive away!
