How is the weather looking in the St. Louis area tomorrow? |
I have an important dr appointment in St. Louis tomorrow, that I really really do not want to cancel. But my dad is saying that the roads might be too bad to drive tomorrow, but I thought it was suppose to be more Friday. I live in Murphysboro, Illinois, near Carbondale if you don't know, and it takes about 2- 2.5 hours to drive to St. Louis. My appointment is at 1 pm. Do you think I will be able to go? Please don't answer the question if you're going to just tell me to look it up, that's rude. I obviously know that a snow storm is coming tomorrow, but I want someone's personal opinion who knows the area. It really is supposed to start sleeting mid-morning and continue through the afternoon with some snow flurries. Its also supposed to be very cold. I would suggest you get on www.ksdk.com in the morning to see what the weather is doing right then and get the latest up to date forecast. If we are lucky the snow may go north or south of us but then that could affect your drive up from Carbondale. You can always cancel in the AM if you can see that the bad weather is really going to hit. Sorry I cant be more specific but even the weathermen arent accurate the day ahead of time. You can go to www.weather.com and look it up. It will give you up to a 10 day forecast. Good luck! You can find out all the details you need. ...but you'll need a computer and access to the internet. With St. Louis weather being as unpredictable as it is, I would suggest just driving up here REALLY early for your appointment since you don't want to cancel. Give yourself plenty of time to drive slowly and you should be fine. I wouldn't suggest going to the appointment. Just call and see if they will reschedule you. It is going to be slick on the roads due to all the sleet. Most Dr.'s office's prefer patients to cancel so they can all go home too and not have to stay out in this weather. They should be able to reschedule you in a few days knowing that people shouldn't be driving in this. It is better to stay home instead of risking your life. If you are still unsure, watch the local news station and they should be reporting on the road conditions. Be careful!!~~~ It's pretty icy right now. I would try to reschedule if I were you. I live in Saint Louis and the roads are BAD. We are getting all the ice and sleet like the news said. And Fox 2 News is on all day talking about the horrible weather. |
