Delmar Loop? |
I have a paper to do on an important location in St.louis. I haven't been able to find any good sites that helped me compile information on the Delmar Loop. Thanks for the help.... You can get a monthly e-newsletter on the loop and get a free copy of the loop brochure on this website--- Did you try Wikipedia? Actually something more in line with say Lacledes Landing is really of more historical importance to the area than the 鈥淟oop鈥? Not discounting what a nice place to visit the loop is. The Delmar Loop is just a shopping, eating and entertainment area not what you would really consider important to St.Louis. You might be better doing a paper on the old courthouse, the St. Louis cathedral on Lindell, the art museum which was part of the 1904 worlds fair, the Lemp Mansion, the Chateau de Menil House, the bird cage at the Zoo, Ulysess Grants house across from Grants Farm, Henry Shaws house at the Mo Botanical Garden, the Eads bridge etc. Take a trip to the St.Louis history museum to get ideas and research material. I would write it on the old movie theater in the Loop...the Lyric, I think. The Pageant would be another good subject or Chuck Berry night at Blueberry Hill. If it's regarding the Loop, why not visit there yourself! There is the St. Louis Walk of Fame. There are several celebrities and impotant figures who have stars there (like in Hollywood) that you can find information on. Good luck! |
