Where and how do Russia get their potatoes?

About 80-85% are getting from big firms fields and then coming to food bases for supermarkets and shops.
About 15-20% (as I think!) are growing up by people themselves at their own small fields in the villagies.
Correct me if I'm wrong =)

either grow it in the small gardens (dachas) or buy in the store

here potatoes very hard growing in my region,but 60% of russian regions grow it and sell in markets,our potatoes with out genetic modefications...

Longest potaoes on time need 120 days to reach their full development - this is quite enough in Russia -

Practically the time in which you can work on your garden is about 180 days - west of Ural - and you can see perfectly spaded gardens in datchas, with a soil such as there is nothing better anywhere else, from the very first days of may.
