Taupo!

Its natural scenery with its lake, forests and volcanic backdrop make for an excellent skydive location.

I went in Wanaka at Skydive Lake Wanaka and loved it. The striking mountain/lake scenery and 15,000 ft free fall made for the perfect combination. Also, the plane, hanger and entire operation are well maintained and looked after which is more than I can say for some of the dirt runway, no hanger operations up north. I've heard that Queenstown has a good operation running out of there (i forget the name off the top of my head, something along the lines of jumpezone) however the jump was more expensive (like everything else in queenstown.
