Madeira, Portugal...?

Hi,

Has anyone ever been to Madeira?
i went july/august 2007 and stayed in the Rui Palace Hotel in Canico.
Has anyone else stayed at this hotel (maybe at the same time?)

Hello I'm from Madeira...I'm madeirense!! LOL
Hotel Riu is a new hotel in Cani莽o, Santa Cruz....it's a very good one....
I had friends who worked there!!
I hope you have enjoyed your stay on Madeira Island!!

portugal nice

Hi,
Yes, we go to Madeira every year. Lovely Island, beautiful people., scrumptious food.Never stayed at Canico, too near the airport for me!!
We stay at the Madeira Beach Club in Funchal...brilliant. If anyone in the UK fancies going there let me know and I will chat with you about it.

i dont think you can go wrong in madeira

Been once and would love to go again. Absolutely lovely island!

I have been going to Madeira twice a year for the past eight years now.
We always stay in Funchal hotels, either the Monumental Lido that is on the Estrada Monumental in the Lido area or the Hotel Porto Santa Maria on the sea front in the Zona Velha (old town)
Madeira is not cheap, has no beaches but is a most beautiful island and we have made many friends who help me in my efforts to learn Portuguese, which is easier to read than to speak(for a Brit, that is)

not me but Madeira is the pearl of the Atlantic.
