Does anyone know of any nice places to live in Philly (philadelphia PA.) or nearby suburbs? |
Reasonable rent of course. My husband and I are leaving our apartment early. If you rent our unit before May 31 we will get some of our money back! So hep a sista' out.... Go to Radnor Crossing apartments in St. Davids (in the town of Radnor). The rent on a 1-BR just went up to about $1150 a month which is reasonable for the Main Line. And you will not become a crime statistic, but I hope you like Vanilla 'cuz that is all you will see out here. I grew up in Warminster, a very nice suburb about 45 minutes from the city. Rent was always relatively reasonable. The Media area is much closer, and I lived there 7 years ago. bristol,u can get anywhere by car,bus/train I would have to say Hatboro, Horsham, Pa. Warminster is very nice in parts, has something for everyone. I would definatly not say bristol, its reasonable price wise but I wouldnt want to live there, There is alot of violence. Newtown and its surrounding area is nice. If not Newtown than Central Bucks (warrington, doylestown, etc.) is good too. there's no such thing as reasonable rent in philly. the only nice places to live are in the suburbs and they're really expensive. add details and tell us what you think is reasonable. try chester, west chester, allentown,or norristown.. if you are looking to stay in the city, east mt. airy and chestnut hill are THE place to live... that's where i'm from, and those areas are fairly diverse. If you are willing to check out the NJ suburbs, which are far superior to the PA suburb in terms of location, commute into the city, etc, I have a few suggestions: Collingswood (this is the hottest outside Philly burb right now) Cherry Hill, Haddonfield, Audubon, Westmont, Haddon Township. Churchville, Richboro, Newtown, and Yardley. These are nice suburban philly[bucks county towns]. Very peaceful,no murders like Philadelphia. No violent crimes Delaware county isn't bad. I've lived there my whole life. I live up the street where i can catch a train and be to Market East in 45 minutes. If you drive you can be in Philly in 30 minutes. Rent is roughly 600 for a one bedroom. u can go to the poconos of course |
