Living in Philadelphia? |
What are some safe, pleasant neighborhoods near the center of the city? It depends on your price range. Near the center of the city I would definatly recommend Manyunk or Chestnut Hill but actually in the center of the city I would say Society Hill, Old City, Rittenhouse Square and Queen Villiage. What is your price range? Are you looking to rent or buy? How old are you and what sort of environment do you want to live in? These are all questions that need to be answered before definitive advice can be given. I can tell you that Maniyunk (sp?) is the trendiest area of town if that is worth anything to you try port richmond. that's the new hipster, trendy area where you can still score some cheap rent. also try south philly. check craigslist.org |
