West Chester University? |
Why does West Chester University of Pennsylvania have such a bad rep? Any thoughts on this school-good or bad? I did some research i am looking to transfer to a 4 year college and from what ive heard theyre a great school they have an excellent program for elementary education (my major) plus there a state school so the tuition is reasonable they wanted a minimum of a 3.4 i believe to be entered into the elementary edu program i go to radnor high school its 20 min away from west chester. Kids from my high school flood west chester if you have between a 2.8-3.1 your probably going to get in unless you a convicted felon or something. I graduated from WCU in 2000. I was never aware they had a "bad rep." So i disagree with you. I have never heard of West Chester having a bad reputation. By rights, it is quite a good school. Over the years, I have known many graduates, professors, employees and students. WCU has wonderful music & performing arts programs, and is strong in many other areas as well (education, physics, and English come to mind). Many of the students come from nearby school districts, and there are some excellent schools in that area. The WCU graduates I know have done very well in their fields. west chester is a great school. i used to live in west chester and have friends and a brother currently at the school. it is a nice, little town and a great school for education or west chester. i am sorry that you have been misinformed. you should really check it out for yourself if you are considering it. |
