Start in Overbrook. Park your car at the Overbrook Septa parking lot. Take the R-5 train to Ardmore - only a few dollars and a few minutes. Get off the train. Go down the stairs and get a cup of coffee. Walk the entire Suburban Square Plaza: www.suburbansquare.com

Then, go back to the railway platform, walk the tunnel, go up the stairs, walk out and cross Rte. 30/Lancaster. Walk into Milkboy Coffee - ask there, then walk down Cricket Ave. past the two pubs and turn left. Walk two blocks to Rittenhouse Place, turn left walking past at least 20 businesses. This will put you at Rte. 30 again. Cross the street, turn left, walk untill you see the station and head back to Overbrook via the R-5.

So...

1. In about 30 minutes you walked passed about 100 store fronts of every variety not including the farmer's market's.

2. Many Ardmore business post openings or are friendly enough for you to walk in and chat.

3. You got your exercise and window shopping in.

4. You could commute to your new job via public transportation and sell your car.
