Train from Philly into NYC?

Is there a train that runs from Philidelphia to New York City? Or, a train fron Philly into Jersey by NYC?

Yes, you can take Amtrak's Northeast Corridor's route from Philly to NYC. That's the fastest but most expensive route. http://www.amtrak.com

You can also take PA's SEPTA train to NJ and then switch to NJ Transit. That is slower but cheaper. http://www.njtransit.com

Philadelphia has SEPTA (Southeastern Pennsylvania Transit Authority), PATCO ( Port Authority Transit Corporation), NJT Transit. They both operates over Delware River.
Some New Jersey Transit Buses from either Trenton, Atlantic City, or Cadmen goes to Philly.

At 30th Street Station you can take an Amtrak train to Port Authority in Manhattan. Or you take the R7 train from either 30th Street, Suburban Station, or Market East to Trenton. There you can take a NJ Transit train to Port Authority.

The SEPTA/NJ Transit option is less expensive, but it does take twice as long.

Not that I know of. I used to live in New York and I would visit my girls every now and then and I normally catch the bus. The bus I catch cost about 20-25 dollars ROUND TRIP. Why don't you just catch the bus? Takes 2 hours. It ain't that bad.
