8th Grade Washington D.C. trip in early march??....? |
I am going on a trip with the 8th grade in early march to washington d.c. I havent been there before so i dont know what the weather will be like. Also it is a 22 hour bus ride so i dont really know where to get started when it comes to packing? i can take one suitcase and a backpack size carry-on for the bus ride.... I have been to Washington D.C. many times. In march the average high is 55 degrees and the average low is 33 degrees so you probably will want to wear pants most of the time and a jacket. You should definately have comfortable walking shoes too because you will probably do a lot of walking and sometimes its rainy. I went in April last year and i wore pants and a winter coat all week but other aprils i have been i wore shorts and a t-shirt so you never know what the weather will be like. It would be a good idea to check the weather report before you go so you have a good idea of what to pack. Pack some sweatshirts, enough pants for the trip, a few pairs of capris, jacket, and sneakers. Its a good idea to dress in layers so u will be warm if its cold or take layers off if it gets warm. You might also want to bring an umbrella. before u go u should check the weather at It will be cold, so wear a long-sleeved shirt, jeans and sneakers. In your suitcase, pack personal necessities, pj's, extra clothes, etc. In your backpack, pack a camera, money, cell phone, iPOD, etc. pack all your clothes make sure to bring enough clothes and jackets. then pack in stuff like toothbrush,towel,etc. then pack in extras! I am going there too except im going in april. make a list beforehand of what you really need and want so you wont forget anything..it will happen when you pack last minute. but in early march, i say it will probably most defenitely bee freezing unless you have that strange weather..so bring a jacket, sweatshirts, ipod for the trip, cards also if you have any, also sneaker and pumps for if you are going out, also bring some nice clothes just in case |

A happy medium. ...it all depends how old the kids are. and how long you will be on the road You probably want to bring napkins, in case of any accidents. pillows and quilts in case you will be in the car over night... |
