We spent a day there and found their double decker on/off bus to be an excellent way to tour most of this lovely area.

Sorry not to have answered before - been busy! There is an airport near Oxfod but only for light aircraft. It's at Kidlington and you'd have to get a bus or taxi into Oxford. Otherwise...
