Which Dinner Show in Florida?

I want my family to go see a dinner show while on vacation. But I'm at a loss of which one. Some people say Medieval Times but there's just something about eating with no utensils that I don't like (Can u ask for utensils?). Arabian Nights I heard won lots of awards but is nothing more than a pony show, and I don't know anything about the Pirate Show. Help! I will have a 9, 12 and 18 year old with me. Thank you!

My husband and I just got back from seeing Arabian Nights just a few days ago and we both enjoyed it very much! I'm an arabian horse enthusiast so for me it was wonderful of course, but my husband, who doesn't much care for horses, was in awe of the difficult stunts that were performed. He was really very impressed, although he figured it would be a drag! Arabian nights is something that I would definately consider if you are looking for entertainment! From the people we spoke with that had been to several of the dinner shows, they said that Arabian Nights was the best they'd been too.

I can only tell you about Medieval Times. Before the show, you can view a museum about medieval day-to-day living. Which I thought was nice, especially, because there where people in costumes, whom could give you knowledgeable answers. The show and dinner, I did not like. For one it is incredible noisy. You are supposed to yell and scream for 'your' knight, whom is fighting contests. The food was horrid! Extremely greasy chicken. Not very flavorful.
Unfortunately, I can't compare it to the other shows.

P.S. However, my then 8 year old loved it!

You have mentioned three of them and I can also think of Dixie stampede which is good. That is also about horses like Arabian nights,

The Arabian nights is about magnificent displays of what a horse can do. Its like art. My children loved and it and you also had a nice meal and plenty to drink. It works out one of the cheaper shows and I thought it was well worth the money.

Before it begins they have a little extra show to keep you entertained or you can go and see the horses which incurs a extra expense.

You can ask for cutlery at medieval times but the whole experience is set to take you back to medieval times and if course they ate with there hands then. Its all a bit of fun and again a great trip.

The best by far and it never advertises is Capone's.... You will need to book but are guaranteed a brilliant show with superb food. And they often have half price deals.....
If you want the little ones to shout and scream then do medieval times. Arabian nights is poor and the Pirates is good fun. The dolly parton dixie stampede is ok if you are a horsey fan but nothing special....

First of all..Dixie Stampede is CLOSED. That is going to come as a shock to many Brits as they loved the place. I can share your feelings about eating without utensils and I don't believe you will be offered any. One place that hasn't been suggested is Sleuths Mystery Dinner theatre on International Dr. Unlike the other dinner theaters you sit at a round table nice appointed and the food is much better then the other venues. They present several different shows all wrapped around solving a mystery. It is a very interactive theater in that an actor greets you as you first walk in the lobby before the actual seating takes place. Then through out the show, actors speak with guests as though they are a part of the show and at times even get some up on stage or involved in some stunt. Each guest keeps track of the storyline to see if they can solve the mystery. Between the entree and dessert each table elects a spokesperson to ask a question of the cast to help crack the case. Those guests who correctly solve the case win a small reward. It is a great way for a whole family to spend a nite out, see a great show and enjoy some laughs. While you might think it a bit old for the 9 yr old it really isn't, many times I have seen the youngest member of the table be right.

www.sleuths.com

I agree that sleuths is great and I know many people that like the pirate one but guys like it cause the "wenched" are scantily clad...lol!

I have done medieval times and Sleuths. I like medieveal times and it isn't bad not having cutlery...but you can slip some in your purse and bring it in if you are worried about that.

You do cheer for you night and it is very kids friendly.

But if i was doing Orlando - I would probably skip all the dinner shows in favor of spending money at theme parks or hitting a show like Cirque de soleil at Disney or Blue Man at Universal...

Medieval just about put me to sleep! I would suggest going to the Pirates show. If money is no object pay the extra cash and get an upgrade. If you would like, with the top upgrade you will have guaranteed audience participation if you and the kids would like. And for the utensils, bring your own or just have fun with the family and let loose. you can go wash your hands if it gets to bad.
