We are trying to choose between the Beach Club and Boardwalk at Walt Disney World. Which would you choose?

We will be staying in a 1 bedroom villa. Our choices are Beach Club, Boardwalk, Old Key West, and Saratoga Springs. My wife and I are in our 30s, and our son will be 6 1/2. We like the fact that the Beach Club and Boardwalk are close to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Old Key West and Saratoga Springs seem to be is a less desired area, but I am sure they have their good points to them. We will be staying for 7 nights in late October, early November, or in early December. Any info would be helpful in helping us choose our resort for our trip this fall.

I would do the Beach Club rather than Boardwalk. The Beach Club has the best pool onsite, in my opinion. Also, the Boardwalk tends to be more of a party atmosphere, especially if you're overlooking the Boardwalk. The Beach Club seems more geared for families, from what I noticed staying at both properties. I like them both, but for a family I'd do the Beach Club.

P.S. If you go the week AFTER Thanksgiving, the parks will be all but deserted, all the Christmas decorations will be up, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party will even be going, but you will have very off peak prices, and not many people to deal with. The weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas are ideal times to go, if you don't mind taking your son out of school.

Well the beach club definitely has the best pool of all the Disney resorts. If you are looking for a lot of space then the Key West/Saratoga Springs are better- they are like mini apartments. Boardwalk is a nice hotel too.

My top pick for you would be Beach Club. Be sure to check out the little restaurant by the pool, Beaches and Cream- amazing! Hah. This is my favorite Disney resort.

If you are looking for the cheapest stay out of the four your should stay at the Old Key West or Saratoga. They start out at a price quote of $30 less. I stayed at the Old Key West myself in the cheapest room and it was nice. They have double beds as the standard sleeping arrangements and a bus that picks up throughout the resort for the different parks. Also Saratoga and Old Key West have a fairy over to Downtown Disney. If you like cute that would be good for you.

If you don't care about quiet I would go with the Beach Club. They have nicely themed room, an ice cream shoppe on the resort, you can walk right up to the side entrance of Epcot, there is a fairy to Disney Studios, and most of all the great swimming pool. I have seen the pool and it looks fantastic because it more resembles the lazy river from Blizzard Beach and there is a huge slide. You son will love it.

All of your choice hotels are very good and I am sure you will have a great holiday which ever you pick. I like the broadwalk. from what you are saying you seem to be very informed and it sounds like you are a bit like me when it comes to making choices lol.

Wherever you go you will have a great time and I wish you the best. Disney is just awesome and mine are so tired after a day there they dont notice the hotel much anyway haha

We are vacation members at the Beach Club and I love staying there. The restaurants are great, you can even schedule a character breakfast at Cape May's! The pool area is beautiful, and it's great being able to walk to both Epcot and Hollywood Studio's.

I just booked us into the Beach Club for a week at the end of November and I'm already excited to be counting down the days till we go!

Either one. But I would favor the Beach Club - I think it would appeal more to your little boy. If you are there in December, they have a giant Carousel made out of gingerbread. My kids had a ball finding all of the hidden Mickeys on it!

Plus they have a character breakfast.

Just my two cents!

I would choose Boardwalk. Not only is the resort beautiful it also has its own nightlife right on the boardwalk. We loved that when we stayed there. If you dont feel like being in the parks you can take a stroll on the boardwalk and your son will love the games there and the espn club!

Enjoy your trip!

Psst...you'll have a great time in all resorts at Disney!
