Credit card block at Disney hotels? |
I'm staying at All Star Movies in a couple months. I'd like to leave my credit card on file so I can have charging privileges during my stay. I know they automatically freeze a certain amount before I even spend anything - does anyone know how much that is? I will only have about $300 available credit after I pay for my room & tickets, and I'm afraid they'll require more than that and I won't have enough credit. Embarrassing! Believe it or not, I just called Disney and no one could find the answer for me! I was surprised. Every time I've been there they have not frozen any amount. They always ask about a limit you would like to set, and they advise you when you approach your predetermined [by you] limit. you will have credit if you spend less than $300 It is at least $250 that they freezeon your credit card. If you are going to go in a couple of months, save a bit more money. Going on a vacay and worrying about every dime aint no fun. Why dont you call the hotel and ask how much they freeze on your card at check in? You should call them and ask. You can specify an amount -- they'll be more than happy to set a limit on your charging privileges...just do that when you check in! I don't know if there is a minimum amount or not; but when we went in June of 2007, the limit they put on our card for charging privileges was $500.00. That is, if you are in the park and do not want to carry cash, you could swipe your room key and they final total would be applied to your charge card. Hope this was what you were looking for. :-) They have never froze an amount for me, and we have stayed in the Value Resorts many times. Under your condition,I advise here for you to have a visit.http://creditcard.expertips.info/credit-... |
