What do I need in College? How much do I get paid? Where would I have to live to work there? Or would I get a room? What are the benefits? Discounts on family visits or something? Thanks A lot! Also anything else. And plz dont say... when you get older you will change your mind! In the question I mean i'm young, not yound! srry first you need to contact disney "casting".
that's the employment office. They call it "casting" and you are a "cast" member because it's all a "show" and you are the "cast" (which is the same as being an employee).
Anyway you have to apply at Disney casting, in person or on-line, depending on what you are looking for. (For a professional job, it's okay to submit a resume' online.)
If you just want to work here like an ordinary person, you just come down here and apply in person like everyone else.
Regular work, i.e. restaurant, merchandise, hotel, operating a "ride" (attraction), you just have to apply. If you want to be a "performer" (singer, dancer, magician, costume character) you have to audition.

Where you live depends on your choice - you pick - and your pay depends on your job. Full time Part time Midnight shift whatver, they all get paid different. Benefits also differ according to your status - part time gets family park passes but no medical dental etc. Full time gets family park passes and of course medical dental etc. Overnight shift gets a special pay of course because they are there at a crazy hour.
As far as what courses do you need to take in college to get a job at Disney? It's just like any other business, they have secretaries, receptionists, garbage collectors, cooks, seamstresses, truck drivers, mechanics, restaurant servers, musicians, painters, graphic artists, people who write newspaper articles, whatever. They even have their own mailmen~!
If you are IN college right now, Disney does not offer a college "course" like the other answer said, (I think that's what I read) ~ but instead, you must be a college STUDENT and make it through the interview process just like other college students, and they have to "accept" you (or pick you), but you will get College Credit for working there. Typically it's for one semester but you can option to stay one more semester. Many students do. You will have a roommate who is also there for the college credit and you will live in a college specific apartment building. Disney will take your rent out of your paycheck, and you will get the same park-admission benefits like other workers but not the free passes and tickets that "normal" workers get for their families.
The college program can be great if you are looking for career guidance and direction. For the college program ("C.P.") workers, they do have special seminars and "class"-type seminars, and they are just for the college program participants. It's a great program.
In addition to the college program seminars, ALL Disney workers have access to a huge selection of "personal enhancement" "seminar"-type "classes" - on topics such as leadership, professional image, group dynamics, public speaking, Microsoft programs, writing a better resume' or improving your interview skills. All of these "courses" are free. Also, the current leaders of Disney (i.e. the president of various departments) they frequently give lectures related to their personal and professional success and they are quite often very inspiring to your own success......
If you are currently IN college, you might also want to go to your college counselor and see if they participate in the recruiting tour (Disney goes around the country and stops at various colleges)..... Before you go, though, do the research and learn about the program, learn about the company history, and have at least "some" idea of where you might want to work at Disney World. It can be a lot of fun. You have to have an open mind and realize that it is a learning opportunity. Hundreds and thousands of cast members who are now full-time and pretty high-up-there on the ladder started out in the College Program and loved it so much.
It all depends on what you want in life. Disney has a lot to offer if that's what you want.
If you do your semester and decide "this isn't for me", take advantage of the seminars and especially the leadership lectures.
I started working at WDW in 1986. I was 19 yrs old. It was so fun and very "exciting." I stayed for 2 years then my life went in another direction. I came back in 1991. It was something I knew I could fall back into pretty easily. I stayed for one year. My life went in another direction again. I came back in 2004 and stayed 2 years. I was a different person and actually enjoyed it much more at the age of 37 than at the age of 19. I left in 2006 to take a break from the "Disney" life (and the Orlando traffic) and explore what other business/companies had to offer. I keep coming back to Disney because no one can really compare to the feeling that you get - - that Disney really does care about you as a person, you are not just another "warm body" doing a "job."
Good luck and have fun~! This would be a great job. Disney offers a college course and they give the students accomadation. All the students I have seen there have said its fantastic and they travel from all over the world to join it. I am sure you wont change your mind and i wish you all the best for the future.
