Survey-would you visit a Bible theme park?

Would you visit? How far would you drive to visit? How much would you pay to get in? Would you go again and again? How old are you?

This is very important, they're trying to build one in our community. If we can get enough feedback it would be very helpful to our opposition. Don't forget to include your age. Thanks

what a neat idea. Dont think it would have the appeal of say disney world but i would take my family there if it was near somewhere i was,. It would have to be really good for me to travel any distance. The fact so many people travel to orlando year on in to visit there theme parks is the measure of their success in their field and you would need to go some to have that sort of appeal.

Remind me or an episode of the simpsons. I wish you the best in your venture.

No-0 Miles-$0-No-too old to change my mind on this one

i can see it now鈥art the red sea and drown the pharoh鈥r how about hit the target and kill goliath. how about no? capitalization on religion鈥mells like america

To somewhat balance the 1st 3 replies, I just shared with my great church G12 housegroup, after last night's great study @ proper priorities & goals in life, that my recent 'Big 6-0', as fabulous as it was, after a fair few close calls down the years, it's never been the most anticipated 2008 event in my eyes

Nor is www.liverpool08.com

Why?

My mum, a Toronto Bible College graduate, had 2 miscarriages after she & dad wed, after WW2, at over 40

She did as Hannah, in 1 Samuel 1 - www.BibleGateway.org

The Lord not only granted her prayer, but thrilled her even more when 14 May 1948 rebirth of Israel answered many global Christians' intensified prayers since The Balfour Declaration of 1917, thus starting this oft-prophesied climax generation of history - that will see Messiah return, to slaughter the Antichrist armies who dare invade the Holy Land & attack His Holy City

He will then rule the world from Zion for 1000 years of perfect peace & justice

Then instantly speak into being the perfect, permanent new universe @ Revelation 21

(He is 'Prince of Peace' partly because 'a fire goes out before Him,to burn up all His enemies')

See Joel 3, Daniel 7, Zechariah 14, Isaiah 24, Matthew 24 & Revelation, 6, 8, 9 & 16-22 @ www.BibleGateway.org

& Jeremiah 31 & Ezekiel 36 @ endtime Israel rebirth

At 60, I've never had a foreign holiday

The only time I went overseas, I'm glad to recall, was to Brussels with www.om.org to help www.bgea.org @ Eurofest '75

I'm asking God to open the way for me to walk where Jesus & the prophets & apostles, Judges & Kings etc walked

My best pal & 1/2 others dear to me are booked to go to Israel 7/17 April with www.RevelationTV.com for 拢825

Many are going for the actual 60th anniversary with www.God.TV (@ 拢1000+?)

Do pray for God to sort out my www.passport.gov.uk

I applied for it thru the Post Office @ 5 years ago & was promised a passport by that September

Govt cashed my 拢70 cheque but I never got my passport

& fee has kinda increased since

Govt also told me, in 3 enquiries I made in good time - in '07 - that I'd automatically go on Pension Credit on my 60th b'day

That was untrue

I went to www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk last Fri when I learnt that money due that dauy not paid into bank

They took Pension Credit application down over the phone, said it would take a while to come & promised an emergency payment immediately

Bank balance on Wed was still 12p

Must go chase now

But yes, I'd love to go to Orlando too - in '09

Wanna tour USA as all thru my 45 years of knowing Christ as Saviour & Lord, it's been US Christians who've influenced me most, especially the last 2 years that I've had Sky Freeview *760/774

Graduates from nearby SE Bible College help out Masters Commission - www.mc.org - prog at www.shorelinechurch.co.uk

& I love watching Orlando conferences on www.God.TV

By www.revival.org & www.GreatAwakening.org

Must go

Ian

Yes- we have visited the Holyland Experience in Orlando and it was fabulous! Our whole family really enjoyed it. I don't remember the exact amount we paid but it was around $30 for adults and $15 for children. Yes we would do it again and again! We are in our 30's with 3 children.

I would go to check it out like I do with everything that opens up here in Orlando, but I do not think it will do very well. Look at The HolyLand Expirience who has been struggling for years to stay open but just recently bought by one of the largest Christian Networks TBN we will see what happens. They are actually making that a "taping studio" but will keep operating the park to see if they can make it better.

$20 or less not again and again just once, im 24

yes i would visit, it depends on how much it would cost to travel to this theme park, hmmm...a good starting price would be $34.99 depending on the rides, shows, and bible time atmosphere, if the park kept on adding new rides and stuff yes i would go again and again, my age range= 20's-30's.
GOD BLESS and GOOD LUCK with this project!!!!

People are allowed to go where they want and spend their money as they wish. I would never go myself. If I want God I'll go to church. These are places for people who already believe this particular brand of Christian doctrine. I disagree with people making tons of money off of peoples faith. On the other hand, it creates jobs in a difficult economy.
Their could be worse things in your community, like a prison or nuclear reactor. I don't see crime going up because of a Bible park.

Im not huge religious and find it rude when bible beaters try shoving their religion down my throat,... so i guess to open a place where you can go on your own to learn about it is better than the "Holyer than thou" trying to turn me into something I have no intrest in!

There is one here in Orlando Florida, I drive by daily and even weekends but the parking lot is always empty except for a few church group busses. Nothing wrong with it in my mind, just not for me!

Didn't Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker try this????

Anyhow, most really thrilling rides at parks do send some to pray...

NO! If Jesus was alive today, I don't think he'd be for it. It's just like Casinos in churches, whether or not it goes to charity, it's still wrong. Age:21

No. it's not that I'm not religious, but Church is boring, so why would I want to go to a religion-themed park? I'd rather spend my money on something amusing and worth my money.

Wasn't that in the movie Fletch Lives?

I don't know if I would go to a Bible theme park. Something about money changers rings a bell.

Female, age 40
Florida resident

Yes!!! Anywhere in the US i would go to see it. Not hundreds, but anything reasonable, probably not more the $60-$70 though. Anything higher seems strange since this is Disney's price. If it is nice of course i would. I'm 18 and have a very strong faith.

No, I would not visit this type of theme park. I am a mother of 3 in my mid-thirties and we have strong faith, but I do not believe in the commercialization of God.

i wouldnt go at all. sounds boring and preachy
im 39

no i would not- i am 23

I am age 31 and no, I wouldn't choose to visit this unless it was a group thing through my church.

18 years old && no i would neverrrrr everrrrrr go to one!
sounds kinda corny and a way to force more religion down people throats. and weird too. not a good idea
