I moved to Milan from NYC; where are the BARBER SHOPS? |
I just moved to Milan 10 days ago. I am a black american male and I am in DESPERATE need of a Barber Shop. In NYC there are different barber shops for people of color and people of non-color (Not becasue of discrimination but just because of the difference in cutting hair) I have been told by some people that in MIlan...EVERYONE (black/italian/white) has their hair cut at the same places. Does anyone know where I can go to get my hair cut??? PLEASE!! I live in Milano and I could say you better go to a barber shopo in the center of Milano 'cause mabe they will speak english as there are a lot of tourists in the center. There is a very good one in Via S.Tomaso close to Via Rovello (close to Via Dante) , the do both men and women. Hope this helps you Hi James! OK, don't panic! The barber in Italy is called "barbiere" OR "parrucchiere per uomo", which is an actual hairdresser for men. The latter will give, let's say, a more complete range of hair "services", from washing, to cutting, to styling, to dyeing. I don't live in Milan, and you don't say what area you live in, but I found these on the web White Pages: Hi, I live in Italy but not in Milan. Try going to an African barber shop. I don't know where the African neighborhood is in Milan but try asking for the "quartiere africano" or asking where the African shops are "Scusi, sa dove sono i negozi africani?". If you want, just ask an African person for help. Most speak English or French. OMG, I moved from milano, to nyc to florida, where i live now, I couldn't find out either, good luck Toni & Guy Milano +39 02 48028361 Hi James, and welcome to Milan. Hope you like it here...despite your hair problems... I searched the web and found these for you: hi james... i live in milan, my boyfriend is black and he uses to go for his hair in via vitruvio (near stazione centrale and corso buenos aires!)... |
