Florida Keys? |
I am traveling with my family to the Florida Keys in March. We are staying in the Marathon Area. What is the temperature like at that time? What are some activities for kids age 8-13? What is there to do in Key West? Any additional info on the Keys would be helpful also. Thanks I think the better question is what isn't there to do in Key West? There's a lot of things to see in KW like the southern most point, sunset celebration, as well as an aquarium, butterfly conservancy, pirate museum, Mel Fisher shipwreck museum, and if the kid's don't get frightened easily, there's the ghost tour. My favorites were the pirate museum and sunset celebration. Don't worry if it's cloudy the day you decide to go to KW, there will still be the sunset celebration. Also, make sure you go to Bahia Honda Park on the other side of the 7 mile bridge from Marathon. It's one of the few natural beaches in the keys. Its absolutely beautiful and there's a lot to see and do there as well as just being a beach bum. If you're staying in a place that has cable TV there is a Key's info channel. Enjoy your vacation!!! The temperature will probably be in the low 80's. There's not a lot to do in Marathon but you can easily go to Islamorada and Key West. There's a nice tiki-bar and shops in islamorada and there's a whole lot of things to do for the whole family in Key West. Luve Marathon, best part of all the Keys. Live in state, area, swim, fish, enjoy natural beauty.....Take a boat ride, weather will be perfect, enjoy!!! The weather will be spectacular. It will certainly be in the 80's and the water will be perfect for swimming. Water sports like boogie boarding and snorkeling will entertain the kids. The beaches are great. You can charter a boat for fishing or go on any of the regular scheduled services available. the temp should be in the low 80's. There is a glass bottom boat tour in that area that is nice. There is also a state park that has different activities to enjoy. |
