What are some recommended sites to see in Mazanillo, Mexico? I will be staying at the 'Las Hadas Golf resort'.

We will be vacationing there for a week Dec. 30th to Jan 6th. Just myself & my spouse. We are not golfers. We hope to play some beach volleyball, some tennis, do some snorkelling, see some local culture, basically lay low and relax, maybe get a tan...

Actually Manzanillo is a nice place for beach and relaxing. Try to go to the capital of the Colima state (where Manzanillo is) Colima City just one hour away. It's a lovely cozy charming colonial city where you can find lots of intersting things and promenades.

Las Hadas is a beautiful resort - you will love it. Go to the North and find the Los Angeles Locos resort, continue towards Melaque and then discover the Careyes Coast. It is one of the most beautiful hidden beaches in that area. Enjoy Mexico and Las Hadas.

Go to Barra de Navidad! It's a quaint little place..not too touristy..a gorgeous beach..but be careful of the blowfish.
Catch a boat to the little island just 'over the way' and order a fantastic seafood meal from the restaurant there. De-e-licious!

There are a couple of great bars in Barra as well.

Barra has been my favourite place in Mexico so far this year!
