Places to go in Mar Del Plata? |
Im going to MdP in dec/jan with my school. any recommendations? were can we hang out with local young people? is there good shopping there like in BA? Im also going to BA. Does anyone know how much a ticket to a BocavsRiver game cost? Also How much does the bus ride from BA to MdP cost? Thanks!! Ok, first off I hope you are a Boca fan!!! I am from MdP and now live in L.A. I love my town!!!! K, there isn't one place to go shopping but if you go to el centro or la peatonal you will find many shops. Also, some great places to shop are the outdoor ferias. They put one on, I can't remember if it's every night in the summer, right accross from the Catedral off the peatonal. You can find really cute original things like jewelry, purses, and also traditional Argentine items for cheap! I always get presents to bring back to the US from the ferias. If you're talking about clothes shopping, I have found that although they have cute clothing at good prices, the quality doesn't compare to that of the clothes here in the US. Of course, the beach is a must and you might wanna go on one of the little tour buses that are by the beach that will take you to the port and other famous places. Now, I also remember there is this one street, I can't remember the name of it, but it's not in the centro. It is famous for shopping and someone had told me about it and I wanted to go but we ran out of time. Ask around. And, as far as the bus ride... I wanna say it was something like 50 pesos, but I can't remember if that was one way or roundtrip. That would translate to US$17; however I could be totally wrong. We went on Plusmar. the beach...Sierra de los Padres...boca-river already play, river wins (like always), yes there are a few shoppings, but that's not the best place to go.. |
