Maldives-vaccinations?

im going to the maldives in may for one week-will i need any vaccinations and if so, what?

I never got a special vaccination for the Maledives.
Just make sure you are up-to-date with tetanus, Hepatitis A (and maybe even B) which is wise to get no matter where you go in the world.

i would get hep b and tetenus

If you are going to be there for several months or have been around there for several months, then there's a few vaccinations you should discuss with your doctor like, Hep B, Tuberculosis, Diphtheria and Rabies.

If you are just heading there for a holiday then as a precaution you should look at getting a Typhoid and Hep A vaccination. You can get these a couple of weeks before you travel.

Some people do get these and some people don't, you have to choose what you think is best for you (talk to your doctor) but it is always better to be safe than sorry.

Hep A permanently ruins your liver and Typhoid can be life threatening and you wouldn't even know you had it until you got back home from your hols as it has a 10 day incubation period.
