Best Time To Go Maldives?

When is the best time of the year to go to Maldives, least chances of rain... and fairly good price?

Anyone recommend an all-inclusive resort?

During sept-october !!! look for hotel-flight packages with nearest travel agents or log in www.zuji.com

About three o'clock?! :-)

March - May I hear is best time.
Direct holidays have some great bargains there at the moment

As soon as possible before they disappear under rising sea levels!

august.

it is on the equator, therefore any time, the tempreture dose not alter very much,if you are diving go liverboard, you wont better it

hahah, go to club-med; they are all inclusive... they say the best time is sept and on; after the raining season... but i would say for better deals, look in july-august... it may rain on you one or two days or the whole week.. but a lot of the rain passes in a few hours so on any given day you will still have sunshine, etc... have fun.

Hi There,

November to April are the driest months, but you have to remember that you can get rain in the driest months and of course lots of sun in the wettest months... I think I mentioned to someone else that it's not the Sahara, so you are basically looking at the amount of rain in a given month as opposed to the likelihood of rain.

With the Maldives being on the equator, the great thing is that it's a pretty constant temperature all year round approx 30 degrees Celsius.

I've been there when it's rained and after taking cover under a palm tree for 10 mins, I went back to my towel on the beach to continue worshiping the sun!!!

Many of the resorts offer an all inclusive package but you should decide your budget first and go from there...however having said that good all inclusive packages can be found at Kuramathi Village, Bandos island and Sun Island for snorkelling as they come with excursions and or equipment (Sun island doesn't provide beach towels so you'd have to take your own!)

Or you could try somewhere like Meeru.

If you choose somewhere like Summer Island..be careful as the all inclusive package there doesn't always come with water, which means you spend about $12 per day just to keep hydrated... the key thing will be to look at what is included in the price when you book.

hope you have a good trip!

The Maldives is near the equator. So you can visit the islands anytime you like. Rains in the tropics are actually quite enjoyable.
I'd recommend the Bandos island resort. The basic price includes an independent bungalow or half a bungalow virtually at the waterline and three meals a day plus a free bottle of water. You pay for other activities like diving, snorkelling, visiting inhabited islands, boat cruises, water skiing etc. You can organise a picnic or a sunset dinner on the adjacent island of kota Bandos.
