Working in City of Industry...where to live?

If someone works in City of Industry, what is a good city to live in nearby so the commute (by car) wouldn't be awful, but the city would also be worth living in?

I'll be honest, I really don't like Rowland Heights, El Monte, Chino, West Covina, Diamond Bar, Whittier, or Claremont/Upland, which seem to be closest. I guess my question is, since I don't like those cities, what are some other cities to live in that are nice/fun, but a sane commute to City of Industry would still be do-able? I know that might mean a longer commute time, but I'd rather live someplace I like.

I really need some replies, I'm going to have to make this decision in a few months. Thanks!

Hi also Answered your commute question. I gave you all the In's and outs of commuting. If you want to live close to city of industry I strongly suggest you stay away from La puente, Hacienda heights, Rowland, and parts of covina and west covina. There are a lot of great stuff to do in west covina if right off next to the 10 and close by South hills area. Whitter is actually a great place the have a lot of restaurants and new things all over the place stay close to uptown area. As for your best bets it's going to be those two places but if you are buying i would suggest Whitter more over west covina/south hills area. They have a night life and Lot's of shops. Remember in whitter you would just have to drive over Turnball Canyon where there is no traffic and take gale to city of industry. West Covina you just have to take azuza and your there. Good luck!

Alhambra
San Gabriel
Pasadena

Monrovia

Montery Park

Rosemead
Pomona
Temple City

I was going to suggest Whittier but you already rulled that one out. Not sure what you got against it. I have live in Whittier here since 1993 and I love it! We have the Quad, Whittwood Center, great restaurants a nice walk way

How about?
Hacienda Heights

Hi -- I answered your commute question before I saw this question you had posed earlier. I have lived in Pasadena a long time and love it, but you are looking at a very long commute.

I think you should check out Whittier further. It has a small-town feel, a college, an Old Town, some decent housing, and I think it is not too expensive, all in all.

And it would be much less of a commute.

Best of luck to you.
