Good places to work in LA?

My roommate and I are planning on moving out to LA this summer. I'm getting into acting and I'm wondering what sort of jobs I could get around the area that I can do in between auditions/roles.

Any ideas?

Do you have any marketable skills? If not, and you want a simple day job with flexable so you can be an acotr, the wait on tables.

Do what every other aspiring actor does -- wait tables. Only thing is, even those jobs can be hard to come by, especially now with the economy dropping. I just read a story about how the restaurant business has been hit hard, too. Sorry, but you will be OK if you get creative.

Hey congrats on moving to LA. Most people that come for that reason work at restaurants, since they tend to be flexible. But you can also try to get a job at Universal Studios Hollywood since it will be close to where the auditions are. I use to work for TSA you can try that. The pay is pretty good to start and they will more than likely give you a part time schedule that will be good for you. The only bad thing is putting up with the passengers. But, don't worry there are plenty of jobs that you can do without dealing with passengers. Here is the link if you want to apply.

There are many jobs in the LA area. Check out craigslist, careerbuilder.com, monster.com. Lots of jobs are listed there.
