Working in Westlake Village-- where can I live affordably??

Might be taking up a job in Westlake Village, and would need to relocate from Long Beach to that part of town. I've lived in the LB area all my life, and have NO CLUE as to where I can live out in that area. I'm looking for a 30minute commute, but I'm a single gal and can't pay much for rent. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Newbury Park is pretty decently priced. There are a bunch of condos/apartments around there for all of the youngins who work at Amgen.

You know the drill: If you want to live here, it's expensive. Get on craigslist and start checking parts of Simi Valley, Moorpark, Newbury Park, Camarillo, or Somis. It's all very nice out there, so it's probably going to be more expensive than Long Beach.

Try Downrown LA.
or Echo Park.

Ditto OM, it's probably more expensive....I always thought of it as kind of a bedroom community good for families...

Moorpark is probably cheaper and not to far away.
