If you have access to the internet try Southwest Airlines or american Tram. Both are good. Go directly to the airlines on the internet, not the cheap tickets avenues they are not that cheap. You might be able to catch a hop from Luke Airforce base which is west of Glendale AZ. Good Luck

Cheapest way is Greyhound (www.greyhound.com). However, it's not always a really good choice. Check out Amtrak for a train going to LA. It's much nicer, but it's about the same as flying. Greyhound is $46, Amtrak is $135, Flying is $137.
